Privacy Policy

AquaParams (“we”, “our”, “the app”) respects your privacy. This document explains what data the app handles and how.

On your device only (never leaves your phone):

• Tank names, types, and volume you enter
• Water test readings (parameter values, dates)
• App preferences (reminder settings, theme)

Sent to our servers only when you scan a test tube:

• The photo of your test tube (used once, not stored)
• The parameter type you selected (e.g. “Ammonia”)
• The tank type for context (e.g. “Freshwater”)

We do not collect your name, email, location, device ID, contacts, or any personal identifiers.

When you scan a test tube, the cropped photo is sent to our backend server. The server forwards it to Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze the color and return a parameter reading. The photo is not stored on our servers — it is processed in memory and discarded immediately after the reading is returned.

We use the following services to power the app:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes test tube photos to determine water parameter readings. Anthropic Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosts our backend infrastructure. Vercel Privacy Policy.

• Camera — required to capture a photo of your test tube. Used only when you tap the scan button.
• Internet — required to send the photo to our AI backend for analysis.

AquaParams is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone.

All app data is stored on your device. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data from your device settings. There is no account to delete because we don't create one for you.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes.
